This PENTACON made bdy was produced in Germany by the old DEMOCRATIS REPUBLIC. A handsome camera it's speeds go up to 1000. A hot-shoe on top and a nice bright viewfinder all help out with this lite camera I say lite because of the materials that makeup the body. A small area of exposed metal on the stutter-trip, located on the face, reveals a "pot metal" material. It's got to be lighter than brass & cheaper to produce. At first glance it's a "squarish" looking box-like affair made with no frills. All-in-all a most useful camera to tote on the expedition of the day.

The Praktica's of that era are nice SLR's. I am very fond of them and the Pentacon lenses are quite impressive. You have zeroed in on some of my favorites. Thanks for contributing!
